About

Who We Are

A platform capital allocator with consulting DNA and capital discipline. We deploy patient, purposeful capital into the infrastructure of everyday life.

Our Origin

From Advisory Roots to Platform Capital

Kennis Capital began in strategic advisory. We spent years advising institutions, corporates, and governments on capital allocation, operational restructuring, and market entry strategy. That work gave us an uncomfortable clarity: the UK housing market was not failing because of a lack of capital. It was failing because capital was being deployed without operational conviction.

We saw institutional investors chasing yield in sectors detached from human need, while the base of Maslow’s hierarchy — shelter, warmth, safety — remained structurally underserved. The gap was not a market inefficiency. It was a market failure. And market failures are not corrected by passive capital. They require patient capital, operational platforms, and the conviction to build before the consensus arrives.

So we built one. Kennis Capital is the platform we wished existed when we were advising from the outside: a vertically integrated allocator that owns the thesis, builds the technology, operates the assets, and reports with institutional transparency. We do not outsource conviction.

Operating Principles

How We Operate

Five principles govern every decision we make — from fund structuring to tenant engagement, from technology architecture to capital recycling.

01

Capital as a Craft

We treat capital allocation as a discipline, not a transaction. Every deployment is structured with the precision of an engineer and the patience of a steward. We do not spray capital at themes. We build conviction, then commit.

02

Operational Empathy

We understand the operating reality of the assets and communities we invest in. Our advisory roots mean we have sat on both sides of the table. We know what it takes to run a housing portfolio, manage a retrofit programme, and report to institutional LPs.

03

Innovation with Intention

Technology is not a veneer. We build proprietary platforms because we believe operational excellence is a compounding advantage. Every system we deploy is designed to reduce friction, improve transparency, and create measurable value.

04

Conviction Over Consensus

We do not wait for the market to validate our thesis. We identified the structural failure in UK affordable housing supply before it became a consensus trade. We build positions based on evidence and first principles, not momentum.

05

Alignment by Design

Our fee structures, governance frameworks, and reporting standards are designed to eliminate agency conflict. When our investors succeed, we succeed. There is no other configuration.

Where We Play

Investing at the Base of Maslow’s Hierarchy

We invest where human need is greatest and capital allocation is weakest. Our four themes are interconnected by design — each strengthens the others, creating a compounding platform advantage.

Affordable Housing

The UK has a structural deficit of over 4 million homes. We acquire, retrofit, and lease residential assets to Registered Providers, generating stable CPI-linked income while addressing the housing crisis at its foundation.

Clean Energy Infrastructure

Distributed energy assets co-located with housing portfolios. Solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure that generates regulated income while decarbonising the built environment.

PropTech & AI

Proprietary technology platforms that transform how real assets are managed, monitored, and reported. From fund operations to ESG measurement, our technology creates operating leverage across every vertical.

Strategic M&A

Targeted acquisitions of complementary operating businesses in property services, energy management, and technology. Each acquisition strengthens the platform and accelerates the flywheel.
