Careers at Kennis
We are building the next generation of real asset investment infrastructure. Join a team where ambition meets precision.
Our Mission
Why Kennis Exists
The UK faces a structural housing crisis, an energy transition, and a digital infrastructure gap. These are not abstract problems. They affect millions of people every day. And they are not being solved by passive capital or incremental thinking.
Kennis Capital exists to deploy patient, purposeful capital into the infrastructure of everyday life. We build platforms that acquire, operate, and improve real assets -- creating sustainable returns for investors and measurable outcomes for communities.
We are looking for people who want to do meaningful work at the intersection of finance, technology, and real assets. People who care about rigour, clarity, and getting things right. People who want to build something that lasts.
Resilient Housing
We invest in essential housing as a core pillar of economic and social resilience, blending long-term leases with ESG retrofits.
Decarbonised Infrastructure
We build and acquire platforms powering the net-zero transition, focused on infrastructure with regulatory tailwinds.
Digital Infrastructure
We fund and operate technology that scales the essentials, creating alpha through insight, automation, and cost control.
Who We Are
Kennis Capital is a mission-driven fund manager with institutional ambition. We combine deep expertise in UK residential real assets with a proprietary technology platform to deliver sustainable returns and measurable social impact.
We are a small team with a big vision. Every member of the team has a direct impact on the trajectory of the business. We value clarity of thought, rigour of execution, and the intellectual honesty to challenge assumptions and improve continuously.
If you want to do meaningful work at the intersection of finance, technology, and real assets, we would like to hear from you.
Work Life Philosophy
How We Work
We believe sustainable performance comes from sustainable practices. Our work culture is built on four principles that guide how we operate every day.
Health is Wealth
We're not prescriptive about our policies. We don't dictate the time off you should take, nor do we set any kind of vacation schedule. As long as your objectives are met, and there's no negative impact to your team and clients, then you can choose your days and weeks. We monitor the ROI per team, not the number of holidays or sick days.
Work Smarter
We believe in your ability to work smarter, not harder. We strongly support flexible working. As long as your workload is well managed and completed, it's immaterial the hours you work, or your location. We will support you by giving you the tools to work smarter.
Family First
We have a fully paid, gender neutral Maternity and Paternity leave policy. We recognise that one of the most special events in an individual's life is the birth and/or adoption of a child. Our paid parental leave is flexible and generous.
Giving Back
We will match any donations you make up to the value of £2,500 to an organisation of your choice, providing they comply with our company's ethical guidelines.
Our Values
Integrity
We do what we say. Our investors, tenants, and partners can rely on our word and our work.
Excellence
We hold ourselves to institutional standards in everything we build, manage, and deliver.
Impact
Every investment we make is measured not just by returns, but by the tangible improvement it creates.
Collaboration
Great outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together with clarity and purpose.
Interview Process
What to Expect
Our process is designed to be rigorous but respectful of your time. We want to understand how you think, what you have achieved, and whether there is a mutual fit. Every candidate receives feedback.
Verbal Case Interview
A structured conversation exploring how you think about problems. We present a scenario relevant to the role and discuss your approach. No preparation required -- we want to see how you reason, not how you rehearse.
What we look for:
- The approach you take to solving a problem
- Your ability to think analytically and creatively
- Your use of data to support your argument
- How you communicate your ideas
- How you would go about implementing your proposed solution
Experience Interview
Your interviewer may start by asking traditional resume questions to gain a better understanding of your background, interests and career goals. Some interviewers may conduct a mini-case based on your professional or academic experiences, asking you to describe a strategic project and elaborate on the approach taken.
Many interviewers will also ask you motivation questions to understand what drives you and why you are seeking a career at Kennis Wiser.
Written Case Interview
The written case interview is a natural extension of the traditional case interview. You will receive a packet of information including data, articles, and other relevant materials. After reviewing, you will be asked to write a memo summarising your findings and recommendations.
Investment candidates may receive an underwriting case. Technology candidates may receive a system design problem. We respect your time -- the case is designed to be completed in a few focused hours.
Why Kennis
Why Join Kennis Wiser
We are not the right fit for everyone. But if you value impact, intellectual honesty, and building things that matter, there are compelling reasons to join us.
Meaningful Work
Every investment we make addresses a real need -- housing, energy, infrastructure. Your work has tangible impact on communities and the built environment.
Institutional Ambition
We operate with the rigour and standards of a large institution, with the agility and ownership of a founder-led firm. You will build things that matter at institutional scale.
Proprietary Technology
We build our own platforms. From fund operations to AI assistants, our technology team creates tools that give us a compounding advantage. You will not be configuring off-the-shelf software.
Direct Impact
In a small, high-calibre team, every person shapes the trajectory of the business. Your ideas are heard, your contributions are visible, and your growth is accelerated.
Aligned Incentives
We believe in shared success. Our compensation structures are designed to align individual contribution with long-term value creation for investors and stakeholders.
Multi-Disciplinary Exposure
Finance, technology, real estate, energy, regulation -- our platform spans multiple sectors. You will develop breadth and depth that few single-sector firms can offer.
Departments
We are organised around four core functions, each critical to delivering on our investment strategy and operational ambitions.
Investment
Sourcing, underwriting, and managing real asset investments across the UK.
Operations
Asset management, property operations, and fund administration.
Technology
Building the Kennis OS platform powering our fund and property management infrastructure.
Legal & Compliance
Ensuring regulatory adherence across Jersey and UK jurisdictions.
